STANAVFORMED

Current Order of Battle:

Patrol schedule:

This squadron is under the control of AFSOUTH and will generally be patrolling in whatever area of the Mediterranean is considered by SACEUR to be the highest area of threat. When no immediate threats are detected, the squadron normally patrols from Gibralter to Naples to the Bosphor (Turkey) and back, with each trip taking 10 days. A 10-day R&R stop is taken every 30 days, and a new ship is rotated in every other port visit (at Gibralter and Naples).
