Mad General AARs

AAR #1 -- Report from an early test game between myself (Rikki Tikki) and Chris, a friend I met on AOL. Chris chose NATO multi-national task force w/ satellite option. Written in diary form. Satellite photo included. (General's side only).

AAR #2 -- Report from a game between myself and Matt Ohlmer (aka Rattler). US: MEU/Mech infantry attachment with satellite recon option. Written in the form of a pastiche of letters, memos, crib notes and newspaper clippings in a way that lets the reader imagine what happened. Intended to be entertaining as well as instructional.

AAR #3 -- Report from a game played between Chuck Bracey and myself in May of 1999. MEU with satellite Recon option. ade up from a series of e-mail messages with a recap at the end. Satellite photo included.

AAR #4 -- A rematch with Chuck Bracey, this time with Chuck playing the role of the General. I chose the Special Ops package (nighttime op) using the paratrooper recon option.

AAR #5 -- US: Scott Gainer, OPFOR: Rikki Tikki. This was Scott's first PBEM game ever, so the learning curve was pretty steep for him. Most of it, fortunately, is captured in this AAR. Scott chose the MEU with extra tank support and the paratrooper recon option (night drop).

Replays (for TacOps v.4 and above)

Replay #1 -- US Commander: Fredrik Scheuer. Mad General: ? Multinational force with recon option. The last couple of turns are missing, but supposedly there was close combat between the US and the General's HQ staff.

Replay #2 -- US Commander:? Mad General: Fredrik Scheuer. Special Ops nighttime assault with satellite recon option. What a slaughter! Check out the General's slippery escape following a premature mortar attack on his HQ compound.
